On the charge of being "suspected of poisoning" her husband, Van Buren Williams, colored, Luberta Williams, colored, 26 years old, who gave her address as 1124 Harmony lane, is locked up at the Southwestern Police Sttaeion pending a post-mortem examination to be made on the body this morning by Dr. N. G. Keirle.

 

According to the information received by the police, Williams died under what is regarded by the neighbors as peculiar circumstances Tuesday morning. He had been feeling badly, it is understood, and a physician was called in, who prescribed for the patient and left.

 

Monday night, according to the information obtained by Coroner Jones from a resident in the vicinity, Williams took one of the pills purported to have been prescribed by the physician and expired shortly afterward.

 

When the Coroner went to examine the body he found that it had been embalmed and he consequently ordered the autopsy. Yesterday afternoon the body was taken to the morgue.
