Miss Lula Sorrell, aged 17 years, youngest daughter of Mrs. Lucy Sorrell, died at the residence of her mother on Etting street on last Tuesday morning, from acute pneumonia. The funeral took place from Ames M. E. Church on Thursday afternoon, Rev. Henry Carroll, officiating, assisted by Rev. Dr. E. F. Eggleston. Resolutions were read from the Senior and Junior departments of Ames Sunday School, where Miss Sorrell had been a teacher for some time. The young lady leaves a mother, father, two sisters and a host of friends to mourn their loss. Interment at Mt. Auburn.
