JULIUS JOHNSON'S FUNERAL
The funeral of Julius C. Johnson who died at his home 1234 Etting street, Sunday following a long illness, will beheld at Sharp Street Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church, Dolphin and Etting streets, this afternoon. Rev. M. J. Naylor will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery. He was one of the most prominent colored Odd Fellows in the country, being national deputy grand master. He had served as district grand master for Maryland, national director and national grand treasurer. Grand Master Edward H. Morris, of Chicago, and other priminent members of the order, are expected to attend the funeral. Mr. Johnson was also treasurer of the board of trustees of Sharp Street Memorial Church. He was well known to many prominent Baltimoreans, having served for 17 years as head waiter at Ganshorn's Hotel, after which he went into the catering business on his own account. He was 61 years of age.
A widow, his father, seven childre, three brothers and four sisters survive.
