TRIBUTES TO NEGRO CATERER
Many Prominent Persons Attend
John R. Young's Funeral.
Two carriages filled with floral tributes, sent by some of the most prominent persons in the city, followed the body of John R. Young, colored caterer, to Mount Auburn Cemetery yesterday afternoon.
At the simple services at the negro's home, 134 Richmond street, many white persons who had known and had enjoyed the meals he prepared were present to pay their last respects.
The Rev. George F. Bragg, pastor of St. James' Tabernacle, and the Rev. Harvey Johnson, of Union Baptist Church, officiated at the services.
