DEATH OF I.S. GROSS–Mr. I. S. Gross, a well known resident of this city, died at his home, 625 George street, on Thursday of last week, aged 70 years. Mr. Gross was an active member of Sharp Street Memorial M.E. Church for over 40 years. During the Civil War he served in the army. His is survived by his wife, who was Miss Annie M. Johnson, one son and two daughters.
 
The funeral took place the Sharp-Street Church last Sunday morning. The remains were placed in a vault at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
 
Among the many who sent floral offerings were Mr. and Mrs. E. Hammond, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, G.H. Siddons, Miss Hilda Heinerman, H.G. VonHeine, Mrs. Annie Johnson, Mrs. Emrich, Rev. J.O. Custis and David Hazelton.
