Mr. John W. Derry, one of the best known residents of South Baltimore, died at his residence, 227 W. Hamburg street, last Saturday. He was born in Kent county 57 years ago. For the past 37 years he has been an active member of John Wesley M.E. Church, and for 30 years had been a steward at that church. Mr. Derry was engaged in the hauling business.

 

He is survived by a wife and five children.

 

The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon at John Wesley M.E. Church, the services being conducted by Rev. W.H. Gaines, pastor of the church. Interment was in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
