Mrs. Annie Fennell, beloved wife of Mr. Joseph Fennell, after an illness of four months died on Wednesday morning, September 30th, at 6 o’clock at her late residence, 1509 Druid Hill Avenue. Her little daughter, Theresa, received from her the tenderest care and training. Mrs. Fennell was a loving wife and untiring and affectionate mother and true friend. She was a member of Metropolitan M.E. Church and a faithful and conscientious teacher in the Junior Epworth League and Sunday School. She was also a member of the Empty Stocking and Fresh Air Circle and though frail in body she was strong and resolute in purpose and her purpose and her life is a monument to all that is lofty and in true womanhood. We tender our sincerest sympathy to the bereaved husband, daughter and relatives. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Jno. A. Holmes at the late residence. Interment at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.

“Now now, but in the coming years
It may be in the better land
We’ll read the meaning of our tears
And sometime, we’ll understand.”
