The funeral of Miss Ethel S. Young, who died on Monday at 3.55 A.M., after a short but painful illness, took place from Union Baptist Church, on Wednesday at 3.15 P.M. The services were conducted by the Rev. Harvey Johnson, who spoke very touchingly of the deceased. Interment was in Sharp Street Cemetery.
 
The honorary pallbearers were Misses Carrie Smith, Hester Murray, Ruth Riggs, Mrs. Carrie Butler Brown, Janette Robinson Hucles, Mary Fernandis Briscoe. The active pallbearers were John Reese, Emanuel Chambers, Morris Wesley, Ernest Hopkins, John Johnson and Lemeul Young.
 
The deceased leaves to mourn their loss, a father, mother, sister, brother and many other relatives. Among the out-of-town relatives and friends were: Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Latney, Mrs. Mary C. Barrell, of Tappahannock, Va., Mr. and Mrs. Charles Young, of Bristol, Pa.; Mrs. Sadie Watson and Mr. Arthur Watson, of Philadelphia, Pa.; Mr. Frank Nelson, Mrs. J. Anderson Taylor and Mrs. Barett, of Washington.
 
The floral designs were both many and beautiful. Undertake Robert A. Elliott had charge of funeral arrangements.
